The inspiration for creating Saffron’s Loft Green Tea Introduction was based on introducing one to the rich variety of taste found in premium quality 100% Natural loose leaf tea & to expand the palate beyond the traditional green tea dustings found in normal tea bags. In loose leaf form, the benefits of consuming tea are maximized along with experiencing optimal taste. This Series was fashioned with the tea lover or newcomer to tea in mind. Green Tea Introduction includes 3 USFDA certified reusable 1oz sampler tins: Japanese Rice, Happy Dragon, & Tea Ceremony. This blended tea gift comes nicely packaged in a natural basket, eco-friendly materials and also contains a measuring tea scoop with a starter set of 100% biodegradable tea filters that are very convenient and easy to use.

Japanese Rice is a Saffron’s Loft classic green tea blend that incorporates popped brown rice with premium Japanese green tea leaves creating a delicately sweet, toasty, & healthy infusion. The ‘light’ nature of the cup makes Japanese Rice suitable any time of the day and is truly calming.

Happy Dragon has a pleasing smooth character with a delicate floral bouquet and jasmine notes. An exquisite cup, one can enjoy seeing the hand rolled buds bloom to life during the infusion. The silver fuzz on the buds indicates the superior quality of the young tea leaves that are harvested during the new season. A cup of Happy Dragon can be brewed multiple times, up to 3. Simply keep the infused tea leaves from the initial cup to brew again, adding more water until the flavor has been exhausted.

Tea Ceremony is a premium Japanese tea with a vegetative and lightly sweet character. It has a smooth finish and yields a cup with rich body and depth. The infused tea leaves may be used in cooking as part of a custom seasoning recipe. Tea Ceremony pairs well with food dishes such as salmon, scallop or poultry. The tea leaves incorporated in our blend are actually quite often used for Japanese tea ceremonies that signify personal acknowledgements.
